The Britannique Hotel team presents its frequently asked questions. It is composed of the questions most frequently asked by our customers. If you do not find the answer to your question, please contact our team who will be happy to answer you.

Is it possible to request a specific room number?

You can request a specific room number, however depending on availability we cannot guarantee that the room will be available. Therefore, please request in advance.

Does my room have a safe?

Yes, all rooms at BRITANNIQUE are equipped with a safe.

Is there heating in my room?

Yes, heating is available in all rooms all year round.

Is there air conditioning in my room?

Yes, air conditioning is available in all rooms all year round.

Is it possible to request an extra bed in my room?

Yes, it is possible to request an extra bed but only from the upper categories because of the size of the rooms.

Is it possible to bring a guest back to my room?

You can have a guest in your room if the number of persons in the room does not exceed the maximum capacity. However, if an extra person is staying in your room, they must go to reception and if they are staying in the hotel, they must pay the tourist tax of €1.88 per person per night.

Are there rooms with balcony?

Yes, some room categories are equipped with balconies. These are our Deluxe Balcony and Tradition Balcony rooms. Like all Haussmann-style buildings, the Hotel Britannique have balconies on the 2nd and 5th floors.

Do the rooms overlook the courtyard or the street?

The rooms of Monsieur Helder overlook the courtyard or the street depending on the category

Do you provide cot for children?

A cot can be set up in your room upon request for any child up to the age of 1. From 2 years old and older, children are considered as adults so you should book the correct room category for the number of occupants.

Is the room equipped with a hairdryer?

Yes, all our rooms have a hairdryer, you can nevertheless ask our reception for a stronger hair dryer if necessary.

Can a double room accommodate a 3-person stay?

No, however the lobby is accessible to everyone, so you can join your guests. If your guests are willing to stay, you may:

  • Ask for an extra bed, available from the superior room category
  • Book the junior suite for 4 adults
  • Book a connecting room for 4 adults
Do you have connecting rooms?
Yes, the Hotel Britannique has connecting rooms which consist of 2 classic rooms. They can accommodate up to 4 people.
Does the hotel offer smoking rooms?
Smoking is strictly forbidden in the hotel. If you smoke, we may charge you cleansing fee of up to 100 Euros.
Is it possible to get a refund for a non-cancellable, non-refundable offer?

No, the rate is not refundable.

Is the rate indicated per person or per room?

The rate is indicated per room. However, a tourist tax of 5,20€ per night per person is to be paid at the reception. Payment can be done upon check-in or in advance through a secure payment system.

A pre-authorization for the first night will be blocked and the amount will be debited 4 days before your arrival in our hotel. This amount will be released at the time of check-out. It will take between one to five working days to have it back on your bank account.

Is breakfast included to the room rate?

Depending on the offer selected, breakfast may or may not be included in your rate. Do not hesitate to book your breakfast in advance on our site for a better offer.

Which credit cards are accepted?

The following cards are accepted: Master, Visa, Maestro, American Express, Apple pay. Cash is also accepted. However, it is not possible to pay by check.

Are taxes included?

Yes, all taxes are included except the tourist tax of €5.20 per guest per night, payable at check-in.

What is the cancellation policy of EKTA Hotel?

The cancellation policy of the hotel Britannique depends on the hotel rate booked.

How do I cancel or change my reservation?

When you book directly through our website, you will receive an e-mail of confirmation. Instructions to update your stay are detailed in the e-mail (based on your booking policy).
If you have booked through a third-party (Booking.com, Expedia…), we invite you to contact the platform in order to edit your booking.

Why am I being charged for the first night?

A pre-authorisation is made within 7 days of the first night's stay as a guarantee (the amount is blocked on your account but not debited). In case of damage to the room or unpaid extras, this amount will be debited. Otherwise, the amount will be released at check-out. The amount will then be available within 3 to 5 working days (depending on your bank's regulations).

What are the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in time is from 3PM and check-out is available until 12PM on the day you are leaving. If you wish to get your room prior the check-in time, please let us know by e-mail with your booking reference (upon availability). Depending on availability we will try to do our best to satisfy your request. Late check-out is available until 4pm for an additional charge of 80 Euros.

Is it possible to arrive earlier or to extend my stay?

Upon availability, we will be pleased to welcome you prior your initial arrival date or to enjoy a longer stay (with an additional charge). Please remember to call the reception in advance.

Which languages are spoken at the Front Desk?

Our Front Desk team is happy to help you in several languages: French, English, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Romanian, Moldovan, Arabic and Persian.

Is the hotel adapted for people with disabilities?

No, the hotel Britannique is not adapted to PMR standards. As its architecture does not allow it, we have an exemption from the Paris police headquarters.

Is the hotel equipped to welcome guests with other forms of disabilities?

Yes, the staff of the hotel is trained to welcome guests with other forms of disabilities such as visual impairment, hearing impairment etc.

Are pets allowed in the hotel?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in our hotel.

Is there a lift in the hotel?

Yes, there is a lift to all floors of the hotel.

Is there a restaurant in the hotel?

Yes, we have a breakfast room. For lunch or dinner, our concierge can offer you the best restaurants in Paris.

Does the hotel have a bar?

Yes, we have a bar.

Is it possible to leave my luggage at the reception?

Yes, we have a free luggage service. You can leave your luggage there and pick it up later.

Does the hotel have a car park?

No, the Hotel Britannique do not have a car park. However, the SAEMES Hôtel de Ville car park is a 5-minute walk from the Britannique and costs €38 for 24 hours.

Does the WiFi is provide in the hotel?

Yes, you will have free WiFi access throughout the hotel.

Is there a business center in the hotel?

No, we do not have a business center, but you can work in our lounge. Our rooms are also equipped with a desk that has international plugs and a USB port.

Does the hotel have a concierge service?

Yes, our staff at reception will be happy to help you during your stay at the Hotel Britannique!

Does the hotel have a dry-cleaning service?

Yes, we offer dry cleaning service (with an external provider). Do not hesitate to contact reception for further information.

Does the hotel have a babysitting service?

Yes, we can offer a babysitting service upon request. Please contact the reception for more information.

Do you provide towels?

Yes, towels are provided in your room.

Where can I find an adapter?

At the hotel Britannique, you have international plugs in each room.

Is there a taxi rank near the hotel?

The nearest taxi rank is less than 100 meters from the Hotel Britannique.

What are the nearest metro / train stations?

Chatelet station: Metro Line 1 – 4 – 7 – 11 – 14 & RER A et B

Can I benefit from an airport/station shuttle?

Yes, you can ask the reception to organize your shuttle, we can book it for you according to a price list available at the reception. Remember to book 48 hours before your arrival.

What is the price of a taxi from the airport?

From Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) the average price of non-booked taxi drive is around 60Euros.
From Orly Airport the average price of non-booked taxi drive is around 40€.

Is there a Vélib station clise to the hotel? How to use it?

Yes, you can find a vélib' station right in front of the hotel. If necessary, the concierge team will be able to assist you with your Vélib' reservation.
